Yes. You can purchase prototype toys. Once all the details of your idea are conveyed, we will design and manufacture a one of a kind prototype that you can show buyers. Figurine/plush toy prototype fees begin at $375 and include unlimited revisions within six months.

The first step to protecting your idea is signing an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). This means that we cannot reproduce your product without your permission. We have built our company over the last 30 years on the fact that we only manufacture goods for you. We have no interest in stealing ideas. For peace of mind, we have an NDA available for you. Look to the bottom of this website for a link to our NDA.

Keep in mind, that in developing your unique product, there are many choices to be made that can affect the final price. Therefore, it is helpful if you have a budget in mind that we can use as a starting point. There are a few distinct factors that influence the price:

Quantity- In general, the more you order, the less you pay per piece with a volume discount. This has to do with not only materials, but also labor, testing, and shipping involved to manufacture your custom plush project.

Size- Common sizes that we use now are 6" for beanie type toys, 8" to 12" for smaller stuffed toys, and 12" and above for everything else. A bigger toy means more material. The greater size adds to labor, materials, and shipping costs as well.

Quality- We can choose from many different qualities of plush and materials, which can greatly affect the price.

Detail- Similar to the differences in quality, but from a manufacturing point of view. A good example of to varying levels of detail in a toy are:

A bean bag plush bear that is simple in shape and has a cartoon look

A realistic looking grizzly bear stuffed toy with characteristic features of the animal.

All toys we make are designed and managed in the U.S. with the sample and production run made in China. We work closely with our factories and have worked with many of them for decades.

Yes. We can keep up with your production needs. We have never has a customer's needs exceed our manufacturing capabilities. We have long-standing relationships with several factories that can produce more than 100,000 pieces per week.

Once you have created an account on the CustomPlush.com design portal and submitted a quote request, you will be directed to upload documents and images.

Our minimum order for custom plush mass production is 500 pieces. This is an industry standard. While it is definitely more economical to order 5,000 pieces or more, we understand that for a new product, sometimes, it is best to start with a minimal number. For products such as figurines or plush with mechanics and sound, the minimum quantity is 5,000 pieces.

Our first price quote is an estimate based on the limited information that we are provided on your initial inquiry. Although we have spent many years working in the plush industry, and can usually get close with our first quote, every project is slightly different. Therefore, the final price may be higher or lower than the original qupte. However, your price will be finalized before we start production and there will not be any surprise charges to worry about.

Approximately 90-120 days after the prototype has been approved. The typical steps and duration are:

Prototype Stage- Approximately 3-4 weeks of the initial sample. 1-2 weeks per round of revisions, depending on the level of detail requesting to be changed.

Production Stage/ Overseas Shipping- Approximately 30-60 days. This can vary due to production schedule, labor availability, ordering materials, and testing.

Delivery- Approximately 25-30 days via vessel, and then 5-10 days via local shipping.

Your quote includes sea shipping freight and delivery to your door. There will be additional cost if requesting any additional product be shipped via air.

Yes. We have been designing and manufacturing custom plush toys for over 30 years. All our toys meet or exceed ASTM standards. We pride ourselves on our 100% safety record, high level of customer service, and our exceptional quality. We are always on top of the many changes to toy safety that are impacted by the United States and international governments.

Yes. We can personalize your custom plush in a variety of different ways, including silk screening on a t-shirt or other apparel item, or a direct embroidery on the plush toy itself. We can also provide you personalized hang tags and sewn-in labels. All of these details will be discussed during the prototyping stage.

When you place an order with us, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to order, purchase, and distribute our products with the names, trademarks, copyrights, logos, etc, specified on your order. If you have an idea that you would like to keep under wraps, we can provide a standard NDA, should you need one.

No problem! We can pack your animals in simple poly bags which are great for mail order and catalog sales, or we can design a full color display box for retail shelves. You simply provide us with the artwork and instructions and we produce them!
